MOSCOW, January 29. /TASS/. The Kremlin considers it absolutely improper to compare the current situation in the Russian economy with 1998 crisis, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.
According to Peskov, the situation differs much both in economic factors and regarding today’s reserves of the country, the volume of its economy and capacity of reserves.
"That’s why I think it’s absolutely improper to compare the current situation with the situation in 1998," spokesman said, adding that "despite all challenges and problems that no one sweeps under the rug" the state and the economy of the Russian Federation are standing on legs much more confidently now.
