MOSCOW, January 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s national agency for deposits insurance to start payments to clients of Kurgan’s Nadezhnost bank before February 3, the agency reported on Monday.
In order to process applications from clients, the agency will use agent banks to be chosen before January 24.
A client will be able to receive 100 percent of the money on deposits, where the total amount will not exceed 700,000 roubles (20,900 dollars). The amount of money in excess to the insurance will be settled over the bank’s liquidation as part of the claims from creditors of the first stage. Insurance payments for deposits in currency will be calculated at the official exchange rate on January 20, 2014.
“The Nadezhnost bank did not comply with the legislations on counteraction to legalization of proceeds from crime and terrorist financing in the timely direction to the authorised body of information on transactions subject to mandatory control,” the central bank reported on Monday.

The regulator adds the bank was involved in big doubtful operations, and the bank’s managers and owners failed to undertake necessary measures to correct the activities. The central bank has appointed temporary administration until appointment of a receiver or liquidator. The bank had a perpetual license from the Central Bank for operations in roubles and foreign currency. It was a member of the obligatory insurance system.
Earlier it was reported that the Central Bank of Russia has revoked licenses from Makhachkala-based Imbank, Urals Region’s Nadezhnost bank and National Clearing Company.
The Nadezhnost (translated as 'reliability') bank was registered in the city of Kurgan in 1993. Kurgan’s bank took the 843rd line in the Russian bank rating in assets.
