DUSHANBE, October 20. /TASS/. The majority of settlements between Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states are now carried out in national currencies, compared to barely 50% five years ago, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Tuesday.
"Most settlements are conducted in national currencies, whereas five years ago, only half of all payments were made this way," Mishustin told an expanded meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government.
The prime minister pointed out that these figures, along with growing trade turnover within the SCO, demonstrate "a solid safety margin for moving forward together."
