Russian stocks up as main trading session opens

MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. Russia’s MOEX and RTS indices added 0.84% to 2,446.44 and 921.67 points, respectively, as the main trading session started on Monday, according to trading data as of 9:00 a.m. Moscow time (6:00 a.m. GMT). The yuan exchange rate against the ruble lost 4.65 kopecks compared to previous closing to 12.4135 rubles.

As of 9:15 a.m. Moscow time (6:15 a.m. GMT), the indices were up by 0.81% at 2,445.74 and 921.41 points, respectively. Meanwhile the yuan exchange rate was down by 4.7 kopecks at 12.413 rubles.

The MOEX Index added 1.19% as morning trading session started on the Moscow Exchange as of 7:00 a.m. Moscow time (4:00 a.m. GMT) to 2,454.85 points.
