Russia’s gas exports to Europe via TurkStream up by 10% in 1Q to 4.9 bcm

The average daily capacity of the TurkStream pipeline in the European direction in March was 21% higher than in March 2025 and 1% higher than in February

MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Russia increased gas exports to Europe via the TurkStream pipeline by 10% in the first quarter, to 4.96 billion cubic meters (bcm), according to TASS calculations based on data from the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG).

In January-March, transportation via the TurkStream gas pipeline to European countries increased by 10% to 4.96 bcm. In March, Russian gas exports to Europe via this route increased by 12% compared to February and by 21% compared to March 2025, to 1.7 bcm.

The average daily capacity of the TurkStream pipeline in the European direction in March (55 million cubic meters per day) was 21% higher than in March 2025 and 1% higher than in February. Therefore, the pipeline was 97% utilized last month.

The TurkStream gas pipeline runs from Russia to Turkey via the Black Sea and has a capacity of 31.5 bcm. It is designed to supply Turkey and the countries of Southern and Southeastern Europe. Currently, it remains the last active route for Russian gas supplies to Europe following the cessation of transit through Ukraine. The starting point of TurkStream is the Russkaya compressor station, built near Anapa.

Earlier, TASS, citing ENTSOG data, reported that supplies via the TurkStream pipeline to Europe in 2025 increased by 8.3% to a record 18.1 bcm. Russia also slightly increased pipeline gas supplies to Turkey by the end of 2025, to 21.2 bcm. Russia supplies gas to Turkey via two pipelines across the Black Sea: Blue Stream and TurkStream.
