Aeroflot Group reports passenger traffic down by 1.7% yoy in August to 5.8 mln people

Compared to July, passenger traffic in August increased by 2.1%

MOSCOW, September 11. /TASS/. Aeroflot Group’s passenger traffic declined by 1.7% year-on-year in August to 5.8 million passengers, the group said in a statement.

Compared to July, passenger traffic in August increased by 2.1%.

In August, the group transported 4.6 million passengers on domestic routes, and 1.2 million passengers on international routes. Passenger turnover increased by 1.9%, to 16.1 billion passenger-kilometers.

In August, passenger traffic of the Group's parent carrier, Aeroflot Airlines, amounted to 3.1 million passengers (-3.9% year-on-year).

In January-August, the group's passenger turnover increased by 3.0%, to 102.8 bln passenger-kilometers, while available seat kilometers increased by 2.8%. During this period, 37.4 million passengers were transported, which is up 0.7% year-on-year. Of this number, 28.8 million passengers were transported on domestic routes, and 8.6 million passengers on international routes. The passenger seat occupancy rate was 89.9%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points year-on-year.
