Russian PM calls to ratify protocol simplifying declaration of goods

"Heads of five countries approved amendments to the Customs Code that will significantly simplify declaration processes and the procedure of moving goods acquired in online platforms across the border of the Union," Mikhail Mishustin said

MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin urged member-countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to promptly ratify documents amending the Customs Code in order to simplify declaring and moving goods across the border.

"The union market of e-commerce is steadily growing. Marketplaces are becoming more popular. Heads of five countries approved amendments to the Customs Code that will significantly simplify declaration processes and the procedure of moving goods acquired in online platforms across the border of the Union. We urge partners to promptly complete ratification of the relevant protocol," the prime minister said at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

Russia also suggests establishing the low-carbon development dialog inside the EAEU, in order to make positions closer as regards the adaptation to the global climate change, Mishustin added.
