Sales of electric cars from the Chinese brand Ora (part of Great Wall Motor) have begun in Russia with the Ora 03 model, Alexander Zubik, director of the strategy, planning and product management department at Haval Motor Rus said at a press conference of the Great Wall Motor company.
In Russia, the model is available in two versions. The cost of the standard version of Ora 03 is 3.9 million rubles ($41,707), and the sports version of Ora 03 GT (which differs only stylistically from the standard) costs 4 million rubles ($42,777). The electric car accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. The range on one battery charge is up to 500 km.
"Versions Ora 03 and Ora 03 GT are available for order from today at Tank dealerships," according to the company’s presentation.
In addition, at the beginning of 2024, sales of hybrid cars from the Wey brand (also part of Great Wall Motor) will start in Russia.
In the first quarter of next year, the Wey 05 hybrid crossover will appear on the Russian market. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 5 seconds, and the average fuel consumption is 7.7 liters per 100 km.
According to the company’s presentation, sales of the brands included in the GWM portfolio for the first nine months of 2023 in Russia amounted to 84,500 cars, which is 2.5 times more than the sales for the entire 2022. Of these, 73,600 Haval cars, 7,600 Tank cars and 3,500 Great Wall pickups were sold.
