'Made in Russia' products should become source of national pride, says Putin

The Russian leader also pointed out that focusing on global markets would stimulate companies and steer them towards attaining better results

MOSCOW, February 9. /TASS/. Domestically produced goods should become the country’s pride and joy, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the supervisory board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

"We can create such conditions together so that goods, services, and products made in Russia become the source of our national pride," the head of state said, noting that Russia already has "enough such products."

President Putin also asked the agency "to build up a system of selection and, most importantly, the promotion of domestic brands, so that companies can scale up production and sales of their products."

The Russian leader also pointed out that focusing on global markets would stimulate companies and steer them towards attaining better results. "We have tremendous potential for the development of national business," he stressed.
