Norilsk Nickel solves problem with feedstock delivery to Harjavalta — Senior VP

At the same time, the company assumes logistical interruptions may occur in this year

MOSCOW, January 24. /TASS/. Norilsk Nickel has settled complications with feedstock supplies to Harjavalta plant in Finland, Senior Vice President of the Russian mining and metals company Sergey Stepanov told reporters.

"Difficulties with feedstock supplies to Harjavalta have been overcome at the moment. Another Finnish operator contracted by Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta is carrying transportation by rail at the moment," the top manager said.

The company at the same time assumes logistical interruptions may occur in this year. "We have planned so far a slightly more conservative plan for Finland in 2023, with understanding that such things may occur again, and we should not let clients down. About 40,000 metric tons of products from Finland were contracted from us, with the production plan of 50,000 metric tons and the capacity of 65,000 metric tons," Stepanov noted.
