Rosatom starts supplying fuel for Belarusian NPP — company

Nuclear fuel supplies for the initial charging and the first recharging for each power unit were included into the master contract for the construction of the power plant

MOSCOW, January 17. /TASS/. TVEL, the fuel division of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom, has begun delivering fuel for the Belarusian nuclear power plant (NPP) under a bilateral contract, the division’s press service said on Tuesday.

"The Belarusian NPP successfully performed inspection of fresh nuclear fuel supplied from Russia for the next scheduled turnaround in 2023 and fuel recharging at power unit No. 1. TVEL supplied nuclear fuel produced by the Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant on time according to the schedule," the press service said.

Nuclear fuel supplies for the initial charging and the first recharging for each power unit were included into the master contract for the construction of the power plant. Subsequent deliveries are carried out under a bilateral contract between TVEL and the Belarusian NPP inked at the turn of 2017.
