World Economic Forum will be held in Davos on January 17-21, 2022 — WEF

WEF annually holds meeting of leading business executives, political leaders and experts in various fields

GENEVA, September 16. The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum will be held on January 17-21, 2022 in Davos, Switzerland, the organizers of the event reported on the WEF website on Thursday.

"The World Economic Forum plans to convene the world’s foremost leaders for the Annual Meeting 2022 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. Taking place in person from 17-21 January, the Annual Meeting 2022 will be the first global leadership event to set the agenda for a sustainable recovery," according to the statement.

"The pandemic has brought far-reaching changes. In a world full of uncertainty and tension, personal dialogue is more important than ever. Leaders have an obligation to work together and rebuild trust, increase global cooperation and work towards sustainable, bold solutions," Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of World Economic Forum, said as quoted by the press service.

Traditionally, WEF holds its meetings in January in Davos. In 2021, the organization planned to hold the event in Singapore in August 17-20 due to the pandemic and the sanitary restrictions. However, as the organizers said, in conditions caused by the pandemic it became impossible to hold the global meeting.

WEF is a Swiss non-governmental organization. It annually holds meeting of leading business executives, political leaders and experts in various fields. About 1,000 large companies and organizations are members of WEF.
