MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Russia’s special military operation has exposed a number of deficiencies, particularly where drones and air defenses are concerned, President Vladimir Putin said.
"As we have said many times, the special military operation has exposed some problems. In particular, we need to introduce major changes in communication systems, use advanced reconnaissance and targeting means and counter-battery systems far more effectively, and increase the capabilities of our satellite network, not only in the special military operation zone but also globally," he pointed out at an expanded board meeting of the Russian Defense Ministry.
In addition, in the president’s words, "there is a need to significantly increase the production and supply of high-precision ammunition and drones of various types." Putin stressed that the situation is changing "at a rather quick pace," but "still, work needs to be done to bump up this trend."
"The operation of air defenses also requires improvement," Putin noted.
