Ukraine transfers untrained mobilized soldiers to Konstantinovka — LPR People’s Militia

Earlier, it was repeatedly reported that employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers were handing out summonses to men right on the streets of the country, often with the use of force

LUGANSK, February 1. /TASS/. The Ukrainian command is transferring untrained mobilized soldiers to the Donetsk People’s Republic’s (DPR’s) Konstantinovka, retired Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) told TASS on Wednesday.

"Ukrainians who have just been mobilized are being taken to Konstantinovka. We’ve established that many of them have not undergone basic training and have no skills in handling weapons," he said.

Earlier, there were numerous reports in the Ukrainian media that employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers were handing out summonses to men right on the streets of the country, often with the use of force. Few such cases have been recorded in the Kiev-controlled settlements in Donbass. On January 18, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the 'We Are Together with Russia’ movement, reported that mobilization was in full swing in the Kiev-controlled part of the Zaporozhye Region.

On February 25, 2022, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization in the country. Then the Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian parliament - TASS) has repeatedly extended it along with martial law. The last time mobilization was extended until February 19, 2023. On December 14, 2022, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that a new wave of mobilization was possible to replenish losses and rotate troops. On January 23, Zelensky said that the Ukrainian armed forces’ command had been instructed to form personnel reserves in order to create opportunities for military rotation.
