Donetsk’s forces put Svyatogorsk under control — DPR leader

An operation to clear the city is on, Denis Pushilin specified

DONETSK, June 6. /TASS/. The Donetsk People’s Republic’s militia has put Svyatogorsk under control and is clearing the city, the DPR’s leader, Denis Pushilin said on Monday.

"Svyatogorsk has been practically liberated. An operation to clear the city is on," he said on the Rossiya-24 round-the-clock television news channel. "There are certain problems, as the enemy has taken a height overlooking Svyatogorsk, but it is a matter of time. Our forces know how to go about this business."

Earlier, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that the Russian army was completing the liberation of Svyatogorsk and its environs.
