NEW YORK, March 17. /TASS/. Lawmakers in Minnesota have endorsed a bill that would add "Trump derangement syndrome" to the state’s list of mental illnesses, Fox 9 television reported.
Trump supporters use the term colloquially to refer to anyone who bashes the US president and his policies. The bill has been put forward by five Republican members of the Minnesota Senate who support Trump.
The draft defines the syndrome as "acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal persons that is in reaction to the policies and presidencies of [US] President Donald Trump." Symptoms may include a general hysteria induced by Trump that the television channel said produces an "inability to distinguish between legitimate policy differences and signs of psychic pathology in President Donald J. Trump's behavior."
