Agreement between Russia, US can become global security foundation — Szijjarto

BUDAPEST, February 25. /TASS/. An agreement between Russia and the United States can become the cornerstone of a future international security system, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told a meeting of the UN Conference on Disarmament in Geneva.

Calling the talks between Russia and the US held last week in Saudi Arabia promising, he said that "good American-Russian relations can become the foundation for global peace."

"This is why we hope that the upcoming US-Russian agreement will not be limited to how to bring peace back to the heart of Europe, but will become a more inclusive document that can serve as the cornerstone for future global security," Szijjarto said as broadcast by M1 TV channel.
