WASHINGTON, December 15. /TASS/. The US administration has not yet established the origin of unknown unmanned aerial vehicles spotted in skies over the State of New Jersey and New York, a FBI official said at an online special briefing for reporters.
"We are concerned about those just as much as anybody else's. I'm a resident here of New Jersey. I live here. My kids have those same type of questions. We're doing our best to find the origin of that specific with those drone activities, but I think there has been a slight overreaction," he said.
Authorities are carrying out an investigation with involvement of security service officials in connection with developments, the FBI official said. No data is available to date that drones were spotted near key governmental facilities, he added.
A Pentagon official participating in the briefing added that authorities have no evidence of existing public security threat.
