Israeli army carries out multiple strikes on Gaza neighborhoods at night-time — TV

Also, Israeli forces have reportedly attacked the Nuseirat refugee camp

DUBAI, December 2. /TASS/. Overnight, the Israeli army delivered a series of strikes on various neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip, with numerous areas in the coastal zone of the Palestinian enclave reportedly coming under attack, Al Jazeera said.

According to the Qatari TV channel, the Israeli military blew up residential buildings in the Jabaliya refugee camp and launched an artillery strike on Beit Lahia.

News came about attacks on the Palestinian city of Abasan al-Kabira in southern Khan Yunis Governorate. In turn, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported indiscriminate shellfire by Israeli troops, citing witnesses. Also, Israeli forces have reportedly attacked the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7, 2023, when militants from the Gaza Strip-based radical Palestinian movement Hamas staged a surprise attack on Israeli territory from Gaza, killing residents of Israeli border settlements and taking hostages. Hamas described its attack as a response to the aggressive actions of Israeli authorities against the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City. In response, Israel declared a total siege of the Gaza Strip, and has been delivering air strikes on Gaza as well as some parts of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also taking place in the West Bank of the Jordan River.
