The people of Azerbaijan stand by Russia in this difficult time, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in a phone call with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, following the bloody terror attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall music venue, according to the press service of the Azerbaijani leader.

"On March 24, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called Russian President Vladimir Putin. On behalf of the Azerbaijani people and his own behalf, the head of state once again offered condolences to Vladimir Putin, the people of Russia, the families of those killed and wished the soonest recovery to those injured in the terror attack on Crocus City Hall. He noted that the Azerbaijani side strongly condemns this terror attack and stressed that our country and people stand by Russia and its people in this difficult time," it said.

The two leaders stressed that joint anti-terrorist efforts will be continued, the ministry added.
