Background radiation at Zaporozhye NPP within normal levels — agency

On March 14, the ZNPP’s authorities reported that the Ukrainian armed forces had shelled the plant’s critical infrastructure facilities

MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. The background radiation at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) remains normal after Ukraine attacked the plant with drones, Russia's Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) said.

"According to daily monitoring data, there has been no excess of background radiation at the ZNPP," the statement said.

On March 14, the ZNPP’s authorities reported that the Ukrainian armed forces had shelled the plant’s critical infrastructure facilities. A shell-less explosive device was thrown from a battle drone five meters away from the fence behind which diesel fuel tanks were stored.
