BEIRUT, November 15. /TASS/. Several missiles were fired towards a US military base, located near the El Omar oil field in the eastern Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor late on Wednesday, the Al Mayadeen television reported citing an anonymous source.

According to the report, the missiles sparked a fire at the base. Al Mayadeen said US aircraft were seen flying above Deir ez-Zor shortly after the attack.

A similar attack occurred on November 9. The Islamic Front for the Iraqi Resistance Shia movement claimed responsibility for the attack back then.
