CAIRO, November 3. /TASS/. At least 15 people have been killed after Israeli forces bombed the territory adjacent to the central Al-Shifa hospital of the Gaza Strip's administrative center, Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera reported.
According to Al Jazeera, 15 people were killed and dozens wounded in the shelling attack on the area near the entrance of the hospital located in western Gaza City.
The director of the hospital told the Al Hadath TV channel that "at least 60 Palestinians were killed or injured" in the attack.
Almost at the same time as striking the downtown hospital in Gaza, Israeli forces carried out an air attack on the area near the Al-Quds hospital as well as the entrance to the Indonesian hospital. According to the director of Al-Shifa Hospital, there were ambulances near the medical facilities at the time that were getting set to take injured Palestinians to the Rafah crossing and transfer them to Egypt for treatment.
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces press service claimed that the main command headquarters of the radical Palestinian group Hamas was located on the territory of Al-Shifa hospital. According to the Israeli military, the matter concerns several underground complexes used by militants for military purposes, as well as a tunnel that allows access to the headquarters without passing through the medical facility.
