DUBAI, November 1. /TASS/. At least five people were killed when the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shelled residential quarters of Khan Yunis, a city in the south of the Gaza Strip, Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, the Israeli bombing left at least 40 city residents wounded.

Besides, intense battles were reported in the city of Jenin in the West Bank. According to Al Mayadeen, around 80 Israeli tanks entered the city and are "engaged in a shootout with resistance forces in the city center."
