Biden to meet with Zelensky during his visit to Poland — report

Last week, the White House announced that Biden will visit Poland on February 20-22, where he will meet with Duda, as well as with leaders of the Bucharest Nine

WARSAW, February 15. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will visit Poland during the upcoming visit of US President Joe Biden to the republic, Poland’s Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reported Wednesday.

"This will be an official full-scale visit [of Zelensky to Poland]. We are working on it," the newspaper quotes a diplomatic source in Kiev as saying. The Polish Foreign Ministry has not confirmed this information yet.

"The Foreign Ministry can only confirm that we, as always, welcome President Zelensky in Poland," Ministry Spokesman Lukasz Jasina said.

According to the report, Zelensky will present his plan for achievement of peace in presence of Biden and Polish President Andrzej Duda. This will be an attempt at diplomatic pressure on Russia, with accusations and demands, the newspaper says.

Last week, the White House announced that Biden will visit Poland on February 20-22, where he will meet with Duda, as well as with leaders of the Bucharest Nine (Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia).

During the G20 Summit in November last year, Zelensky presented a so-called plan for achievement of peace, containing 10 points. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Kremlin is unaware of the alleged preparation of a peace plan by Ukraine, adding that Zelensky’s claims about peaceful settlement are being made without taking current reality into consideration.
