NEW YORK, February 7. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden is expected to visit Poland in the light of the special military operation’s anniversary in February, NBC reported Monday.
According to the report, Biden’s visit may happen in the end of the month, but the final decision about the trip has not been made yet.
During the visit, the president may reiterate US Administration’s support to the Kiev authorities, the report says.
Last week, Biden said that he intends to visit Poland, but he does not know when such visit may take place. On January 25, NBC reported that Biden is considering an option to visit a number of European countries in February. According to NBC sources, the trip may be timed to the anniversary of the special military operation. NBC did not specify if Biden might visit Ukraine during this trip.
Later, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said that the US intends to react to the upcoming anniversary of the special military operation, and planning proceeds full steam ahead. Meanwhile, she noted that US authorities do not plan Biden’s visit to Europe at this point. Earlier, US National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said that the president may visit Ukraine "when the time is right," but he has not such plans right now.
