French top diplomat announces arrival in Ukraine’s Odessa

On January 25, the US authorities announced plans to provide 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Kiev

PARIS, January 26. /TASS/. France’s Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna has arrived in the Ukrainian city of Odessa, as she herself wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

"I am in Odessa to highlight France’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty," the tweet reads.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba wrote on Twitter that he was "looking forward to discussing France’s role in the international tank coalition, Grain from Ukraine and Peace Formula."

On January 25, the US authorities announced plans to provide 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Kiev. The German government, in turn, confirmed that it would send 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and would also give re-export permission to other countries. The defense ministries of Norway and Slovakia also announced their countries' intention to send tanks to Ukraine. Earlier, the British and Polish authorities decided to give tanks to Kiev, and Paris announced plans to send AMX-10-RC tanks to Ukraine.
