Scholz completely rules out no-fly zone over Ukraine, sending NATO troops

According to Olaf Scholz, NATO immediately said that it wouldn’t support a no-fly zone over Ukraine

BERLIN, January 25. /TASS/. Both the issue of a no-fly zone over Ukraine and the deployment of NATO forces would be irrelevant now and in the future, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said at the Bundestag on Wednesday.

According to him, NATO immediately said that it wouldn’t support a no-fly zone over Ukraine. "Nothing has changed and won’t change regarding this position," he vowed.

"I said a long time ago and I do now that we are not talking about warplanes," Scholz pointed out. "In no case, we will send ground troops there," the chancellor added. "There won’t be any direct participation in the war. This is not happening now and won’t in the future. Everybody can be sure of that," he concluded.
