GENEVA, January 17. /TASS/. Polish authorities plan to gather an international coalition of countries that possess Leopard tanks in order to hand over an entire brigade (up to 100) of these vehicles, Polish President Andrzej Duda said during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
"We are establishing a coalition, a union of countries that will, as I hope, hand over Leopard tanks to Ukraine," he said. "There are several European countries that have these tanks. I believe that we will be able to form at least a tank brigade for Ukraine."
Poland expects to obtain a permission from Germany to ship a company of Leopard tanks to Ukraine. The republic has already decided to ship up to 14 such vehicles to Kiev.
