Nonpartisan candidate Natasa Pirc Musar leading runoff presidential election in Slovenia

According to the State Election Commission, Pirc Musar’s rival, Slovenia’s former Foreign Minister Anze Logar of the Slovenian Democratic Party is scoring 46.12% of votes

LJUBLJANA, November 14. /TASS/. Attorney Natasa Pirc Musar, an at large candidate, is leading Slovenia’s runoff presidential elections with 53.88% of votes, the State Election Commission said on Sunday after counting 99.95% of ballots.

According to the State Election Commission, Pirc Musar’s rival, Slovenia’s former Foreign Minister Anze Logar of the Slovenian Democratic Party is scoring 46.12% of votes.

Runoff presidential election was held in Slovenia on Sunday. Its final results will be made public before November 29. The president elect will be sown into office on December 23, when incumbent President Borut Pahor’s second office term expires. Under Slovenia’s laws, he cannot run for a third term in office.
