DONETSK, June 11. /TASS/. Ukraine’s Armed Forces have again shelled the Kuibyshevsky district in Donetsk, firing five Grad rockets, the mission of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) to the Joint Center on Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCC) said on Saturday.

"It was recorded that Ukrainian armed formations had shelled the city of Donetsk (the Kuibyshevsky district), firing five BM-21 Grad rockets," the statement says.

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian military had fired ten Grad missiles in that area of the city. Moreover, since Saturday morning the Ukrainian forces have been shelling Donetsk, using 122mm and 155mm barrel artillery.

In recent days, the Ukrainian forces have been heavily bombarding Donetsk. The most intense escalation since 2014 was recorded on May 30. Then, the Ukrainian armed forces used 155mm artillery and US M777 howitzers, and also fired four rockets from the Smerch multiple launch rocket system into residential areas, which resulted in civilian casualties.
