DPR says Ukraine shelled Donetsk from NATO standard 155 mm artillery

It is reported that three residents of the city were killed and four wounded

DONETSK, June 6. /TASS/. The office of the Donetsk People’s Republic at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire on Monday said Ukrainian forces shelled Donetsk from a French Caesar self-propelled howitzer of the 155 mm caliber.

"Shelling of residential areas of Donetsk done using the French self-propelled artillery unit Caesar of the 155 mm caliber, which is supplied by Lend-Lease to the armed forces of Ukraine from NATO countries," the office said in a statement. "Units of the Ukrainian army since Monday morning have been executing massive fire on several areas of Donetsk, using cannon and rocket artillery."

"At the moment, it’s reported that three residents of the city were killed and four wounded," the statement said.

The office said Ukrainian forces opened fire on Donetsk for the fourth time using heavy artillery of the 155 mm caliber.

It said the fire is directed at the Petrovsky and Kuibyshevsky districts, with a total of 34 shells being fired.

Ukrainian forces are shelling Donetsk from Vodianoye, Georgiyevka and Novomikhailovka settlements, according to the office.
