DONETSK, June 2. /TASS/. Ukraine’s Armed Forces have fired 15 rockets from the Grad multiple rocket launcher system at Donetsk’s Petrovsky district, the mission of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) to the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCC) said on Wednesday.
According to the JCCC, Ukrainian troops were conducting fire from Avdeevka.
"Shelling by the Ukrainian armed formations was recorded in the direction: Avdeevka to Yasinovataya at 20.09, with 15 BM-21 Grad rockets fired," the report said.
The DPR mission documented at least eight incidents of shelling at Yasinovataya in the past 24 hours. The Ukrainian military used Grad multiple rocket launcher systems, 122mm artillery guns and 120mm mortars for the attack.
Yasinovataya, inhabited by over 30,000 people, is a frontline town north of Donetsk. It is home to a major railway hub. Since the conflict broke out in Donbass, the city and its outskirts have been incessantly shelled by the Ukrainian military. Since February 2022, more than ten civilians have been killed in shelling in Yasinovataya, and dozens more wounded.
