MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Thursday that Russia-US relations will bounce up after hitting the bottom, provided the West, the United States in the first place, displays goodwill.
"I am certain that we will bounce up from the bottom to start straightening relations. For this, the West, in the first place, the US, is to display goodwill. What we have observed in recent days is an unprecedented economic, political and information attack against Russia. It’s fresh confirmation that they’ve just turned a deaf ear to us all along. And now they have also used earplugs," Ryabkov said on the RBC television channel.
"We keep working confidently and calmly. We implement the plans and tasks the leadership set to us and act in strict accordance with the president’s instructions," he added.
Ryabkov said he had no doubts the Russian armed forces would cope with all of their tasks in Ukraine.
"That done, with reliance on common sense and responsibility for the ongoing events we will be able to start moving to something new. But there will be no return to the past," he concluded.
