MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. As many as 742,760 tickets to matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup to be held in Russia have already been sold, the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) said on Tuesday.

Tuesday was the final day of the first stage of ticket sales, which kicked off on September 14. The stage was broken into two phases, from September 14 to October 12, when tickets were allocated by a random selection draw process, and from November 16 through November 28, when tickets were sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Sales stage 2 will start following the Final Draw of the 2018 FIFA World Cup on December 5, 2017.
Eleven host cities will be the venues for the matches of the 2018 World Cup and they are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Samara.
The matches of the 2018 World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums located in the 11 cities across Russia.
