CIS observers find no violations in Tajikistan elections — mission head

DUSHANBE, March 3. /TASS/. The observer mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) has not detected any violations during the elections to the lower house of the Tajik parliament held on March 2, the head of the mission, CIS First Deputy Secretary General Leonid Anfimov told a press conference.

"The mission did not find any violations that could affect the results of the elections," he said.

Anfimov also noted that voting in Tajikistan's parliamentary elections took place in a calm atmosphere and at a high level of organization.
