Serbian film director Emir Kusturica considers Moscow best city in world

Emir Kusturica also stressed that at the World Youth Festival people discuss human issues

SIRIUS /Federal Territory/, March 4. /TASS/. Serbian filmmaker and musician Emir Kusturica said that he considers Moscow the best city in the world.

"Moscow is the biggest and best city in the world, as I think. <...> Moscow is a metropolis with a soul. It has brought together architects who have worked throughout the ages and are [working] now. I always feel very well here," he told reporters on the sidelines of the World Youth Festival.

He also praised the organization of the festival. According to Kusturica, only professional events are organized in Europe. "But here (at the festival - TASS) people discuss human issues," he noted.

The World Youth Festival is taking place in the Sirius Federal Territory in far southern Russia on March 1-7, 2024. More than 300,000 people from 190 countries have applied to take part. Participants in the festival’s regional program will visit 30 Russian cities on March 10-17. TASS is the event’s general information partner.
