KHERSON, October 25. /TASS/. The authorities of the Kherson Region intend to expel Ukrainian businesspeople who subvert the ruble-hryvnia exchange rate, Deputy Governor of the region Kirill Stremousov said on Tuesday on his Telegram channel.

"As far as those people who now refuse to accept rubles in Kherson or in some way sabotage the Kherson Region administration, <…> they are on the radar. We will deal with them, going as far as expelling them back to the territory of Ukraine," Stremousov said.

According to him, this measure also applies to those who violate the established ruble-hryvnia exchange rate.

As of now, there is a bi-currency system in the region, the prices in shops are written in both ruble and hryvnia. On September 8, the authorities of the Kherson Region lowered the Ukrainian currency rate, which is in effect in the region, to 1.5 ruble for 1.25 hryvnia.
