MOSCOW, May 10. /TASS/. Moscow’s Tagansky court has deferred consideration of an appeal from Telegram’s representatives against the instant blocking of the messaging service in Russia pending remedy of technical defects in the claim and set June 4 as the deadline for correcting the flaws, the court’s press-service said.
"On May 10, 2018 Moscow’s Tagansky Court received a complaint from a proxy of Telegram’s privy. The judge studied the complaint to arrive at the conclusion it should be left without consideration for the time being and set June 4 as the deadline for correcting flaws. If the plaintiff disagrees with the court’s decision, he should lodge an appeal stating the number of persons involved in the case and attach a document confirming the state fee has been paid," the court said.
Moscow’s Tagansky court on April 13 sustained the Russian telecom watchdog’s demand for blocking access to the messenger Telegram for failing to share with the federal security service FSB the encryption codes for reading users’ messages. Communication operators launched blocking procedures on April 16.
