Europe forgets its ‘green agenda’ amid energy challenges, Putin says

The Russian leader stressed that joint work is required in order to find balanced solutions

MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. European countries have reopened coal mines amid energy challenges, despite their commitment to the "green agenda," Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Of course, we need to work together, including with those who support the 'green agenda.' When it became more difficult to address energy challenges, they [European countries] reopened coal enterprises and put them quickly to work. So where is their ‘green agenda’? We need to come together and find balanced solutions," the Russian president said at the summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
