MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has observed that as the situation for the Kiev regime deteriorates on the battlefield, there is a corresponding increase in the frequency and severity of attacks on civilians.
"The scale of officially documented crimes and unlawful acts committed by the Ukrainian side is truly alarming. As detailed in the report published by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 30, 2026, concerning the Kiev regime's crimes in 2025, the more dire the circumstances for the Kiev regime on the battlefield, the more widespread and intense its assaults on civilians become," Zakharova stated during a press conference dedicated to unveiling the findings of the International Public Tribunal on Crimes of Ukrainian Neo-Nazis, focusing on the Kiev regime’s offenses against the elderly.
She condemned the cruelty and inhumanity exhibited by Vladimir Zelensky’s government, highlighting its apparent desire to vent frustration over military setbacks by targeting the most vulnerable - children, women, and the elderly. "Not only are they killing innocents, but they also target the wounded, and even those who attempt to provide aid," she emphasized.
Zakharova further noted that hundreds of testimonies and thousands of documented incidents of crimes committed by Ukrainian neo-Nazis have been collected from regions including Novorossiya, Donbass, Kursk, and Sudzha. "Until now, I was uncertain if a superlative existed for 'monstrous.' Now, I believe there is - because it is especially heinous that these brutal acts of violence against the elderly are being carried out deliberately and systematically," she concluded.
