Lavrov arrives in Mozambique as part of his African tour

Russian Foreign Minister ’s previous visit to Mozambique took place in May 2023

MAPUTO, July 9. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in Mozambique on a working visit, a TASS correspondent reported.

Mozambique is the third stopover on his African tour after Ethiopia and Niger.

Lavrov’s previous visit to Mozambique took place in May 2023. This visit’s program includes meetings with the country’s leadership and talks with Foreign Minister Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas.

The two top diplomats met last time in Moscow a year ago, in July 2025.
