KURSK, March 31. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military in the Kursk and Belgorod border areas has been attempting to distract Russian army resources by seizing small portions of Russian territory, according to Lieutenant-General Apty Alaudinov, the deputy chief of the Russian Armed Forces' Main Military and Political Directorate and commander of the Akhmat commando forces.
"This is not a tactic of mosquito bites; rather, it aims to disperse our resources and distract us as much as possible through their efforts to claim sections of our territory," Alaudinov told TASS.
The Akhmat commando forces of the Russian Defense Ministry are currently deployed in the Kursk border area and the Belgorod Region, with additional units stationed in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Lugansk People's Republic (LPR). In all these areas, the unit's fighters are effectively responding to and repelling the enemy.
