MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. President Vladimir Putin has discussed the development of relations with Asia-Pacific countries with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council, outlining the topic at the start of the session.
"Today, we will consider issues related to developing relations with partners in the Asia-Pacific region," the president stated. "[Foreign Minister] Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov is our speaker today," he announced.
The meeting also included the chairmen of both houses of parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin and Valentina Matviyenko, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, and Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu. Also in attendance were the head of the presidential administration, Anton Vaino, presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev, special envoy Sergey Ivanov, and the heads of security agencies, including Vladimir Kolokoltsev of the Interior Ministry, Alexander Bortnikov of the Federal Security Service, and Sergey Naryshkin of the SVR.
