MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. The date of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s address to the Federal Assembly has been pushed back this year due to an intense international political agenda and may take place by the end of May, member of the Federation Council’s Committee on Social Policy Natalia Kosikhina told TASS.
"In recent years, it has been a tradition for the head of state to deliver his address at the beginning of the year in order to summarize results and outline plans. However, I assume that due to an active schedule of international engagements and diplomatic efforts, this year’s address may be postponed and delivered sometime in April or May. I believe that this will in no way affect its content or the pressing issues for every Russian," she said.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the timing of the president’s address to the Federal Assembly is not influenced by external circumstances, including relations with the United States.
