Putin, Trump discuss Middle East, Red Sea, nuclear non-proliferation — Kremlin

According to the Kremlin press service, joint efforts will be made toward stabilizing the situation in the crisis zones

MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. Among the topics discussed by the Russian and US presidents, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, over the phone were not only those related to the Ukrainian conflict, but also other international problems, the Kremlin press service said.

"Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump addressed other issues on the international agenda, including the situation in the Middle East and the Red Sea. Joint efforts will be made toward stabilizing the situation in the crisis zones, establishing cooperation on issues of nuclear non-proliferation and global security," it said.

According to the Kremlin, this "will help improve the general atmosphere in the Russian-US relations." "One of the positive examples is the solidary UN voting on the resolution on the Ukrainian conflict," it added.
