Putin guarantees life to Ukrainian troops if they lay down arms

The Russian president made the statement as he opened a meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council

NOVO-OGARYOVO, March 14. /TASS/. Life and decent treatment will be guaranteed to Ukrainian militants if they lay down their arms in the Kursk Region, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in response to a request from US President Donald Trump.

He made the statement as he opened a meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council.

"If they lay down their weapons and surrender, they will be guaranteed life and decent treatment in accordance with the norms of international law and the laws of the Russian Federation," Putin said.
