Russian troops advance near three communities at DPR-Zaporozhye border

North of Skudnoye, Russian troops have approached the settlement of Dneproenergiya and begun battles for its liberation, Vladimir Rogov specified

MELITOPOL, March 3. /TASS/. Russian troops are exploiting their success at the administrative borders of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk Regions, Chairman of Russia’s Civic Chamber Commission on Sovereignty, Patriotic Projects and Veteran Support Vladimir Rogov told TASS on Monday.

Specifically, Russian troops are fighting for the communities of Volnoye Pole and Dneproenergiya and continue advancing to the settlement of Vesyoloye, he said.

"In the settlement of Volnoye Pole, highly intense battles are underway and our forces are advancing westward from Privolnoye. The Ukrainian military is reinforcing its battlegroup in that area," the politician said.

North of Skudnoye, Russian troops have approached the settlement of Dneproenergiya and begun battles for its liberation, he specified.

"From the village of Burlatskoye, our fighters have advanced to the north to Vesyoloye controlled by the Ukrainian army. That is, Russian troops are advancing in three directions in that frontline area," he said.

Rogov told TASS earlier that Russian forces had pushed Ukrainian troops out of the village of Privolnoye on February 28.

Russia’s Defense Ministry uploaded a video on March 1 showing combat operations by assault teams of the 127th Brigade of the Battlegroup East, which liberated the settlements of Burlatskoye and Skudnoye from the Ukrainian army.
