Kremlin not to comment on Trump’s statements about Zelensky before talks end

Earlier on February 28, Trump said that he respects Zelensky

MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov called on reporters to wait until February 28 negotiations between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky conclude before commenting on Trump’s words about Zelensky.

"Let's wait for the results of today's contacts and the statements that will be made as a result," he said at a briefing.

At a joint conference with visiting British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump stated that he respects Zelensky. A few days earlier, the US leader had called him a dictator but later retracted his statement.

Trump scheduled a meeting with Zelensky for February 28, 11:00 local time (19:00 Moscow time). During the meeting, they may sign a rare earth metals agreement.
