MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Russia has never refused to engage in peace talks to resolve the Ukraine crisis, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with top Federal Security Service officials.
"It is them (soldiers engaged in the special military operation - TASS) that, through their bravery and daily victories, have created the conditions to embark on a serious dialogue - a dialogue about a fundamental resolution not only of the Ukraine crisis but other global crises as well - including, of course, through peaceful means, which is something we have always spoken about and never rejected. About establishing a system that will really ensure balance and mutual consideration of interests," he said.
Such a system must guarantee indivisible European and global security for the long term and make sure that "security for some can’t come at the expense of, or to the detriment of others," he said.
"And certainly not at our expense, not Russia’s expense," he added.
